Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation Kicks Off 2025 ‘Season of Giving’ to Address Food Insecurity in RI

From now through the end of the year, Navigant Credit Union will match donations up to $15K to support nonprofit organization Feed RI

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Nov. 13, 2025) – Continuing its commitment to giving back to the communities it serves across Rhode Island, Navigant Credit Union and the Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation are introducing their Season of Giving – a new annual initiative to support efforts to address pressing issues facing the state.

This year, the Season of Giving will focus on food insecurity. From now through the end of the year, all contributions made to the Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation will be donated directly to Feed RI, a Rumford-based nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing surplus food to relieve hunger and revive communities. Throughout this same time period, Navigant Credit Union will match any donation up to $15,000.

All proceeds collected during the Season of Giving will be donated directly to Feed RI to support the organization’s School Pantry Program, which transforms educational spaces into nutrition access points and ensures students have access to reliable food during school hours.

“The Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation is committed to creating a lasting impact and promoting well-being for all Rhode Islanders, and partnering with the incredible team at Feed RI for our inaugural Season of Giving initiative was a natural choice to advance that mission on a large scale,” said Navigant Credit Union President / CEO Kathy Orovitz. “We encourage our members and neighbors from across the state to support this organization’s critical work, and we are proud to offer our matching funds to double the impact of donations made over the next several weeks.”

Established in 2017, the Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 charity dedicated to making impactful financial contributions to support locally based organizations focused on the Foundation’s three core pillars: education, social services and public health, safety and well-being.
