Community Impact

Organizations may apply all year long; we are no longer limiting applications to specific dates.
People helping people. That’s what a credit union, and in particular, Navigant Credit Union, is all about. We are committed to the financial well-being of the families, businesses, and communities we serve, and have been since our founding in 1915. That’s why we donate over $1 million each year to worthwhile causes and organizations throughout Rhode Island.

Community Impact Services

Donations
Navigant Credit Union considers nonprofit requests for direct support of programming that primarily benefits Rhode Islanders. Donations are focused on meeting the community’s needs in the areas of Food Insecurity, Housing, Financial Literacy, and Public Health, Safety & Wellbeing. Other areas of need are sometimes considered.

Items of Note:

  • Requests for individual assistance, salaries, travel expenses, and scholarships are not eligible for funding.*
  • To allow adequate time for review, applications should be submitted a minimum of six weeks before the anticipated decision date.
  • Navigant Credit Union will review requests for direct program support up to $25,000 annually, and average gifts range between $10,000-$15,000.
    • Requested funding amounts should reflect your organization’s size, reach, and demonstrated community impact.
  • Organizations that receive a donation of $5,000 or more will be asked to share how the funds were used and the impact they made within the community. This information helps us understand the difference our support is making and informs future funding decisions. Failure to submit a requested impact report may affect eligibility for future funding.
  • Please submit a single annual application that captures all anticipated donation and sponsorship requests for the calendar year. Combined requests for direct program support and sponsorships should be included within the same application.
  • Organizations interested in volunteer support, whether as a separate request or combined with a donation or sponsorship application, should complete the Volunteer Request Form located in the Volunteer Force section below.
