Your Path to a Career in Wealth Management

After meeting key objectives and member-focused goals, you’ll progress through two meaningful roles designed to build your expertise and deepen your connection to our community. Upon completion, you’ll be invited to participate in our Registered Member Relationship Advisor (RMRA) program.

As a Member Relationship Advisor I. at Navigant Credit Union, you’ll be on the front lines of helping our members with their financial needs and supporting a positive and personalized experience. We’re looking for someone to play an active role in the following areas:

  • Delivering Outstanding Service: Help members in-person, over the phone, and online. Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, and address changes.
  • Cross-Selling Products: Assist members in opening new accounts (checking, savings, certificates, IRAs) and recommend products and services that meet their financial needs. Develop an understanding of all consumer lending products and proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell beneficial products and services.
  • Loan Processing & Member Support: Help members complete loan applications, collect necessary documentation, and provide updates on loan status. Originate and close NCU’s Smart Start, Cash Reserve Lines of Credit, and Personal Unsecured consumer loans. Ensure members understand their loan terms and next steps.
  • Problem-Solving & Advocacy: Address member inquiries and concerns with empathy, ensuring each interaction aligns with our core values. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all applicable compliance, operational, and risk controls, with particular attention to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the SAFE Act.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless service and contribute to a positive team environment. Collaborate with branch team and business partners to acquire and deepen member relationships.
  • Sales & Community Engagement: Work towards meeting annual sales and service goals. Act as a Navigant Credit Union ambassador in the community and at business-related functions. Manage a book of business, set appointments, and follow up on referrals.

As a Member Relationship Advisor II at Navigant Credit Union, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our mission by providing a wide range of banking services to our members. You’ll offer a personalized, consultative approach, that meets the needs of our members, while contributing to the branch’s goals. We’re looking for someone to play an active role in the following areas:

  • Member Services: Deliver outstanding service to meet financial needs. Perform teller transactions, account opening, and maintenance. Use resources and technology to create efficiencies and optimize member experience.
  • Operations Support: Maintain vault, cash ordering, ATM/IBK balancing, cash recyclers, and ensure end-of-day balancing.
  • Financial Consultation: Educate members on personal and business accounts. Explain digital products and services, promote financial wellness through tailored solutions, and build strong relationships.
  • Sales Initiatives: Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and services, including loans, credit cards, and lines of credit. Work toward annual sales goals while providing high-quality service.
  • Lending Operations: Process consumer and equity lending requests from origination to closing. Interpret credit reports and prepare error-free documentation.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Handle third-party documentation such as tax returns. Adhere to compliance, operational, and risk controls, with attention to the Bank Secrecy Act and SAFE Act.
  • Business Development: Call on your book of business, set appointments, follow up on referrals, and seek new business in assigned markets. Collaborate with branch team and partners to deepen relationships.
  • Community Engagement: Serve as a Navigant Credit Union ambassador in the community and at business-related functions as needed.

The Registered Member Relationship Advisor (R-MRA) supports the Credit Union’s mission statement by providing a wide range of services, including financial planning, investment, and insurance solutions to its members. In addition to conducting the usual duties of an MRA, the R-MRA will work with members to build a broader relationship by advising them directly on financial planning and investment solutions available through Navigant’s subsidiary NCU Investment Solutions. The R-MRA will work to grow and advise a group of emerging investors on an ongoing basis to help them achieve their long-term financial goals. They will also partner with NCU Investment Solutions Senior Financial Advisors to identify and qualify prospects for more complex relationships with NCU Investment Solutions.

  • Performs all of the responsibilities listed of an MRA II
  • Completes the R-MRA training program including acquiring all applicable licenses.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of the personal financial planning process and associated tools and techniques as well as NCUIS products and services.
  • Works with branch staff and branch champions of assigned branches, to help them understand NCUIS services and identify appropriate referral opportunities for R-MRA and Senior Financial Advisor relationships.
  • Proactively engages in and documents marketing efforts as directed, to include outbound phone calls, emails, direct mail and other methods as appropriate.
  • Schedules and meets with both referred and self-sourced prospective member clients to identify needs, and possible solutions offered by NCUIS.
  • Works directly with emerging investors on a one-on-one basis to collect information, identify financial goals, assess risk tolerance, and recommend appropriate solutions using a financial planning and advice driven framework.
  • Meets with emerging investors on an annual basis to review performance, track progress to goals, and encourage healthy financial and investment decisions while solidifying the NCUIS relationship.
  • Provides service to emerging investors on an ongoing as-needed basis to include answering questions about investments and facilitating account transactions in conjunction with NCUIS operations staff.
  • Partners with a Senior Financial Advisor for mentoring as well as seamless referrals of complex cases and established investors.
  • Meets or exceeds annual sales and service goals as assigned.
  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all applicable compliance and operational policies and procedures as set forth by NCUIS, the credit union and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Maintains all appropriate industry licenses including initial examinations as well as ongoing continuing education.
  • Provides high-touch, personalized banking services for NCUIS member clients as needed.
  • Develops strong partnerships with internal and external centers of influence, act as an advocate for NCUIS and identify marketing and cross-selling opportunities.

Performs all other duties as assigned by the Branch Management line or SVP, NCU Investment Solutions.

The Senior Financial Advisor is responsible for delivering outstanding financial planning and investment advice and service to clients of NCU Investment Solutions.  They seek out and build deep and lasting relationships with clients, acting as their primary financial advisor and helping guide them to achieving their long-term financial goals. 

  • Cultivates a portfolio of clients, developing a deep and lasting relationship, acting as their primary financial advisor and providing their clients with exceptional service.
  • Acts as a fiduciary, using the financial planning process to work directly with affluent and high-net-worth clients to uncover needs and provide broad-based guidance, designed to achieve their client’s financial goals.
  • Meets regularly with existing clients to review plans, assess progress toward goals, uncover needs, and pinpoint additional opportunities to provide value.
  • Clearly articulates NCU Investment Solutions’ value proposition to referred as well as self-sourced prospective clients in order to earn relationships.
  • Partners with internal and external centers of influence to identify and generate appropriate referrals.
  • Develops relationships with allied professionals such as attorneys, CPAs and other professionals as resources for clients and sources of referrals.
  • Proactively engages in and documents marketing efforts as directed, to include outbound phone calls, emails, direct mail and other methods as appropriate.
  • Meets or exceeds business building goals set by leadership for client relationship and asset growth.
  • Coaches and mentors less experienced advisors and licensed branch staff to ensure high quality and consistent advice as well as seamless referrals of complex cases and established investors.
  • Utilizes financial planning software and other tools to present recommendations designed to help clients achieve financial goals.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the SVP, Director of Wealth Management and Financial Planning.
