Recent honor marks the sixth time Navigant Credit Union has earned top ranking in annual ‘America’s Best-in-State Credit Unions’ list
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – (June 27, 2025) – Navigant Credit Union, the largest member-owned credit union in Rhode Island, received the recognition of Rhode Island’s “Best Credit Union” in Forbes’ 2025 America’s Best-in-State Credit Unions ranking.
Navigant Credit Union has earned the #1 ranking in Rhode Island six separate times since the list first launched in 2017.

A partnership between Forbes and global market research firm Statista, the annual Best-in-State Credit Unions list is compiled based on a comprehensive survey of roughly 26,000 residents across the country. Respondents were asked to share their level of satisfaction with their financial institution; their willingness to recommend it to others; and to rate the institution based on a variety of factors, including customer service, fee structures, in-person services and more.
