Through donations from the Credit Union and grants distributed through its independent Charitable Foundation, Navigant Credit Union continued its longstanding culture of giving back in 2025
SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Jan. 9, 2026) – Navigant Credit Union continued its longstanding commitment to giving back to the communities it serves in 2025, contributing more than $2.1 million in charitable grants and philanthropic donations to support hundreds of nonprofit organizations operating across the state.
“Our team at Navigant Credit Union is always proactively seeking out opportunities to make a lasting, positive impact in our home state,” said Navigant Credit Union President / CEO Kathy Orovitz. “We were proud to support hundreds of worthy, mission-oriented nonprofit organizations across 2025, and we applaud these organizations’ respective teams for ongoing work on behalf of all Rhode Islanders.”
Navigant Credit Union’s philanthropic impact in 2025 included:
- Direct Donations: Navigant Credit Union contributed more than $1.3 million in the form of direct donations to support 479 nonprofit organizations. Navigant Credit Union distributed an additional $195,000 in donations disbursed in late Diciembre as an end-of-year boost to 11 local nonprofits.
- Foundation Grants: The Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation awarded a total of nearly $570,000 in grant funding in support of 36 nonprofit organizations. An independent, 501(c)3 charity, the Foundation has now distributed nearly $2.5 million in high-impact grants since it began awarding funding in 2022.
- Season of Giving: Navigant Credit Union and the Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation’s inaugural “Season of Giving” initiative raised an additional $65,412 for the Rumford-based nonprofit organization Feed RI.
Requests for direct donations from Navigant Credit Union are accepted on a quarterly basis, with application windows being open in Enero, Abril, Julio and Octubre. Organizations who provide programs and services related to food insecurity, housing, mental health, and financial literacy are eligible to apply for funding of $10,000 or less. The application period for the next round of Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation grants is now open.
